Before we begin learning about the growth of our Modern world we need to keep the last couple chapters in the front of our minds. Answer the following questions in COMPLETE SENTENCES.
1. During the period from 1300-1700 A.D. there were a few different eras or secions of time that were dominated by a certain theme. We have studied in great detail the eras of Renaissance and Reformation. These eras happened for a reasons such as religion, cultural awareness, science. What are the other eras that we have learned about in the last 2 chapters? Explain what they are about. 2. How is European society different in the 1600's than it was in the 1300's? Explain based on what you have learned in this class, not what Google tells you. (could be anything from food to what group has the most influence; small changes are changes too!)

I remember that the power would shift off from the king to the nobles to the church and keep going in cycles.I also remember that the church would pull these scams like "buy your ticket to heaven" just to keep money and power.People would trade food for other foods. The people would dump the waste down the alley in towns

1.The other eras that we have studied are exploration and expansion, this happened because of the new land being found, then new trades that were starting to happen. The scientific revolution where mapping and navigation become more of an aspect in life, where transportation has become more popular.

The main eras we studied during the 1300s-1700s were the Middle Ages and The Renaissance. Well, the Middle Ages were about how European society collapsed after the Fall of Rome, about how people lost basic knowledge on how to do stuff. The cause of this was war. This was a huge and important era.The next era we studied was The Renaissance. Time in the 1600s was vastly different, because Europe had been introduced to new modern ideas and technology from the crusades. After that ideas and knowledge started to come back into Europe from the outside world.During the 1600s life was way different, because they had new ideas and knew more about everything around them during this time period people began to use Scientific theory instead of relying on the church for answers. The group who had the most influence for the Renaissance was the Italians they were mostly traders and were the ones who took the crusaders to the holy land to get it back. Some small changes caused by this was food had become better, they had been exposed to new dishes and food.A big change was how people began to question the church that caused a lot of people to leave the Catholic church and create new churches for example: Lutheranism,Calvinism,Anglican and many more.

Other eras we have learned about includes the scientific revolution. The scientific revolution was a period of time where people started getting curious about the reasons why things were how they were. In this era, many things were modified and invented such as ways to travel using compasses and new maps, and also the beginning of the study of astronomy using the first telescope. Sadly in this time period calculus was invented. The scientific revolution was an era where people really started to open their eyes and think for themselves instead of believing what others were telling them, they started having a thirst for knowledge. The church didn’t like this because obviously they believed that god made everything that we see and they didn’t like how people rebelled against them and god. They didn’t like how people didn’t believe that god wasn’t behind the making of their lives.

Well for starters we have the Renaissance and the Northern Renaissance which was mainly about Italians and Europeans thinking outside the box and having new ideas. Another era was the Scientific Revolution where most of the world started thinking outside the box with crazy inventions and new ways of life.

1. We learned about both Italian and northern Renaissance and how new things formed like humanists and writers and artist. We also learned about the Catholic Church reformation to keep people from leaving the church. They found new things such as math, science, tools, and a new money system.

When the “new world” was discovered and the old world started trading with america it brought in new things like tabbaco from the indians. There was also improvment in technology and mapmaking.

They used to be dominated by religion. They were dark and people relied on whatever the church would say because they were scared or afraid. No one seemed to have time to have the time to stop and question certain things. That’s until the eras of Renaissance began to occur as people began to question and the practice of religion. They began to think and wonder why some things were taught the way they were and why some things were done the way they were in the religious aspect. This lead to the Protestant Reformation, where people began to create their own new ways they believe to be the right way of practicing religion. We also learned about the Scientific Revolution and how it changed the way people’s thoughts and beliefs. Things were able to be explained as people begin to grow smarter and more knowledgeable.

Other eras that we learned about were the renaissance and the scientific revolution. The renaissance was about starting to think outside the box. They also gained knowledge from the crusades because they were trading with the Middle East which had a lot of knowledge. The scientific revolution was about new technology that was developed and using that technology to explore the new world. One thing that's different from the 1300’s is their daily lives. Their housing is better and they don't need to throw their waste down a gutter anymore. Another thing that changed was navigation. They developed a compass and improved their maps. This lead them into finding the new world or as we now know it, America. When they found the new world they traded goods they had never seen before like corn, cacao, and tobacco.

Another era is the scientific revolution. It contained advancements in technology and trade. Advancements in technology such as improved map making and direction, better use of navigation, and having built bigger, stronger, better ships. Advancements in trade such as mercantilism. Mercantilism is a favorable balance of trade.

The eras were Exploration and Expansion, during this time people were pretty smart. They started expanding their areas and there towns got bigger. They were able to expand to different places because maps became more advanced. They became so advanced because they would work as a big group and cover all of the land. The major part of expansion was when they discovered America. Once they discovered it they began coming over and harvesting raw materials and bringing them back to their hometowns to sell. Since the “new land” is in the picture, they started to get in fights of who gets what land.

During the period from 1300-1700 A.D. there were a few different eras or sections of time that were dominated by the old world. The new world has not been found until Christopher Columbus discovered the new world and was thought to be india. Once the new world and old world were both known they started to trade things such as tomatoes and the old world also didn't know or have ever seen a cow until the new world introduced them. The new world also introduced smoking tobacco and caused everyone to join along with them.

There was an era where a lot of sicknesses and diseases spread around that killed a lot of people. There were many plagues and deaths because of people spreading them around during trade. It spread faster by living in dirty unsanitary towns. This lead many deaths but also people being immune to it meaning they could survive if it came again. An example is the Black Death where a disease killed a lot of people. There was also an era where peasants and slaves had a little more freedom. They could join a town and have freedom. These towns gained more people which meant it became very unsanitary and squished.

During the period of eras we learned a lot about different secs within the church we learned about how when some people didn't agree or like what the roman catholic church was doing they would create there own church. King henry created the anglican church because he wanted to be able to get a divorce. John calvin formed calvinism and he made people believe that he had every religious answer in a book he wrote. Martin Luther created lutheranism and wrote 95 complaints about the cathloic church and posted it to another building and wrote the bible in german when he was in protection then as he got out he handed out his new bible in geman. Europeans had bananas, cow, no bread, no citrus, honey bees, horses, peaches, pigs, sugar, diseases then they were introduced to foods and things from North america which had Beans, chocolate, corn, potatoes, sweet potatoes, tobacco, tomatoes, turkeys

We have learned about the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. During the Middle Ages (Dark Ages) people didn’t know anything. They didn’t know how to read or write only if you were a noble or someone of high ranking they taught you how. They weren’t really that smart and didn’t even know common sense. When they were curious about something they would ask the church about it and believe whatever they told them. During this time is when the people also got freedom from their feifs and got to live in their own town. This lead to people figuring out a new way of trade and more diseases spreading because of how unhealthy the towns were. During the Renaissance people started using more common sense and started thinking outside the box. Comments are closed.
